Overview
The Orcish Warlords are the ruling nation of Isandor. They are enemies of the Confederacy and plan to subjugate them to their will.
History
The Orcish Warlords have technically existed long before the Confederacy. In ancient times, which the Confederacy records as the dark ages, the Orcish Warlords existed as a series of disjoint tribes and clans. They fought each other for supremacy, until the year 424. In that year, a high shaman from a little-known temple of Thes came forward and summoned all warlords together to discuss a matter of urgency. Respecting their religious traditions, the warlords came. The high-shaman told them that in one year, the mountain of Mok'Gram would erupt, and decimate their idyllic paradise of Isandor. The warlords laughed, saying that the shaman had snorted too much magic dust, or smoked too much vision thistle.
One year later, Mok'Gram erupted. Decimated, the tribes and clans had no choice but to unite. Desperate for resources, they launched joint attacks on all of the other races of Isandor, subjugating them to their will. Once a race is conquered, they are integrated into the ranks of the military. They can earn commissions, and officerships like any other orc. Capability and merit are prized over race in their military.
Internal Political Stances
There are two castes in the society of Orcish Warlords. One is the religious sect, which acts as a spiritual guide. They command parts of the military, and demand sacrifice in the form of internal bloodshed. Their shamans empower their forces on the battlefield, and stand beside their warriors. The religious sect is based out of the grand temple-city of Thes.
The second part of their society is the political and military leadership caste. They hold ultimate power over political decisions, but submit to the religious sector when asked to do something for the good of the general populace. The two pillars are often in contention on decisions of internal affairs, but generally defer to the religious caste.
The Orcish Warlords worship Arth, the God of Blood, and make blood sacrifices to his honor. They believe Arth will empower them, and enable them to conquer their enemies.
