Ritual events

In Ilisara, there are many traditions held by different societies. Some of these events that call for divine blessings, as mortals believe that the Pantheon is always watching over them.

Rites of Passage

Dark Elves send their children on a rite of passage to become adults. The rite of passage varies by clan. This spiritual journey takes place when an elf is 17 years old, and ideally is finished during the year they turn 18.

Festivals

Sun Elves celebrate the summer solstice with a Midsummer Festival that lasts for three days. Bonfires are lit around Vestia and endless dancing, drinking, feasting, and parades take place. They wear garlands of fireflowers and invite all of their allies to attend.

Weddings

Anashta is universally implored to watch over newly-wed couples and ensure the fires of love burn for the duration of their marriage.

Funerals

Funeral customs vary by race. Humans bury their dead or set them loose on a funeral barge to be immolated, Sun Elves cremate their dead, and Dwarves bury their dead. In any case, prayers are often said to Kerrigor.
