Celestials are immortals sent as an agent of the gods and given humanoid form. They are born in fully-formed adult bodies. Celestials are imposing figures with white eyes and unearthly grace, and the god that sent them crafts their appearance. When a celestial dies, it is reincarnated in another adult celestial body. After reincarnation, a celestial recalls vague memories of a past lifetime, allowing it to draw from past experiences to give itself an edge. There are a few different types of celestials; for example, Sylvari are botanical humanoids that serve Remedia, Aasimar are angelic humanoids with wings that serve Varos, and Tieflings are horned, devilish humanoids that serve Vandun.

Some Celestials become disconnected with their god upon being reincarnated, and possess free will and no obligation to their deity. These Celestials are extremely rare.
