You can make custom passives for your characters at levels 2 and 6. Passives aid you in combat in a small way and add flavor to your character, setting them apart from others.
Passives are always made depending on the character’s backstory; ie, every passive must have an In-Character justification for having it. They should be generally in line with the following guidelines for passives, and must be okayed by a DM:
- +1 to attack rolls or defense rolls if a condition is met; for example, a frost mage receiving a +1 attack bonus against frozen targets
- +1 damage if a condition is met; for example, a warrior deals 1 damage to enemies who hit him with physical attacks due to his spiky armor
The "condition" that must be met can be "using a specific Combat Stance". A Combat Stance is an additional level of complexity and flexibility for your character to have.
